Almost the End of Traveling!

Fiona, Dave, Kenzie and I drove to Corvallis, OR to go to our family reunion 2 weekends ago. That was a fun trip and so good to see the family. The drive was longer than usual due to stops for Kenzie but was so much fun. We subjected Dave to Mamma Mia songs for a while and then watched some movies. We stayed at my Aunt and Uncle's which is about 20 mins away from my Grandparent's house where reunion was being held. We had picnic's, played horseshoes, went swimming, did family photos, celebrated my dad's birthday and just enjoyed being together.

Last weekend Nic and I headed to Reno again for Sarah's wedding (I got to be her matron of honor). She was the most beautiful bride! It was wonderful to see old friends and catch up. It brought back so many memories to see the McCombs, people from my old ward and see the sites. We also got to hang out with Nic's Uncle Joe and Aunt Peggy again for a bit. It was a lot of driving but definitely worth it! (She honeymooned in Cancun this past week so I hope she's still around after Hurrican Ike went thru...)

We're now home for a couple weeks and are sooooo enjoying relaxing. Heather, my sister-in-law, had her baby on Thurs the 11th. He ended up being born C-Section after 21 hours of labor.

My friend Jamie Igel is getting married! Her wedding's Dec 20th so Robin and I went and had fun bridesmaid dress shopping for her. Of course we ended up being incredibly silly in the process...

On the 25th of Sept Nic and I will head to northern Idaho to visit his grandparents. :-) We can't wait to see their cabin and enjoy just being in nature.

All in all life is exciting and busy for us. But that's the way we like it... :-)

Fun-Filled Summer

August has been such a packed month and it's definitely not over yet. I've had friends' birthday's, Nic's family reunion, Sarah's bachelorette party (which was actually a weekend of just the two of us hanging out together in Vegas), my family reunion next weekend in Oregon and Sarah's wedding the weekend after that outside of Reno. Talk about being on the go non-stop! Then I get to be an aunt again when my sister-in-law has her baby... What blessings we've been given. :-)

Girls Trip 2008-California!

California was a blast. I loved being with my girls non-stop. Thurs night after dinner at the Olive Garden we saw Mamma Mia (in theaters) (we might have possibly been dancing in our seats in the theater). Fri we drove to San Diego to spend the day on the beach relaxing and boogie boarding before seeing Phantom of the Opera performed. It was so cool to see it again. After the play we walked around down-town SD for a bit to let traffic die down. We found this totally yummy yogurt place that's apparently becoming quite the rage down in Cali right now. You get your frozen yogurt flavor and then you can put all kinds of toppings on it. It's delicious!

Saturday was another day at the beach. We started it out renting beach cruisers (bicycles made for riding around the beaches for those of you that don't know) and rode those for 3-4 hours, taking silly pictures along the way of course. Then we relaxed on the beach and played Phase 10, read books, boogie boarded some more, etc.

Sunday was a very fun-filled day at California Adventures. It was the perfect day for it too! It was warm but not horrible and there weren't tons and tons of people there so we got on almost all our rides fairly quickly. We were there from the time it opened at 10 until it closed at 9 and believe me, we were BEAT by the end of the night. Then I got to see Rhyll for about an hour before we crashed at home. Yesterday we came home and boy was it good to be home. It was a fabulous trip but it's always good to come home.

4th of July

I can't believe we're already past the 4th of July! Where is this year going?! Nic and I had a wonderful holiday 3 day weekend. He had Friday off so we got to go up to a lake and go boating with part of his family. It was such a relaxing wonderful day and the weather couldn't have been better.

Summer Fun!

Well, this has definitely been a fun-filled interesting spring and summer already. But then, nothing in Nic's and my life is ever boring, that's for sure! As usual we've had lots of family fun and time with friends.

Nic has been hard at work at the fire station. He is loving the work and as you can see from the photos attached, it definitely has some perks as well. The picture of Nic head on getting ready to spray someone is him getting ready to spray me! Yes, there will be payback for that when he least expects it. :-) He is also just finishing up his EMT course so he'll be EMT certified in a couple weeks. He's worked really hard for it and we're all so proud of him.

I've been keeping really busy with work, family and friends. I said goodbye to my girlfriend Jamie Igel last weekend. She moved back to California and we all miss her terribly. I can't wait to go see her in a month!

Nic's younger brother graduated high school this year and his sister is pregnant with a boy! We're so excited to be an aunt and uncle again.

That's the quick update on us right now. :-)
